Online guitar tuner : free

An online guitar tuner tool you can use freely.
An electrical devices tuner is a apparatus utilized by musicians to notice and brandish the throw of remarks performed on melodious instruments. The simplest tuners use LED lights or a needle to show roughly if the throw of the note performed is smaller, higher, or roughly identical to the yearned pitch. More convoluted and costly tuners show more accurately the distinction between suggested note and yearned pitch. Tuners alter in dimensions from flats that can fit in a pouch to table-top forms or 19″ rack-mount units. The more convoluted and costly flats are utilized by equipment technicians, piano tuners and luthiers.

The simplest tuners only notice and brandish the tweaking for a lone throw (often “A” or “E”) or for a little number of pitches, for example the six pitches utilised in the benchmark tweaking of a guitar (E,A,D,G,B,E). More convoluted tuners offer chromatic tweaking, which permits all the 12 remarks of the scale to be tuned.

Jimi Hendrix Hey Joe video youtube

The well known Jimi Hendrix Hey Joe in a video taken from youtube and some reviews about his album titled Blues.
This is my favorite Jimi Hendrix Album. It was compiled after his death from all the “Blues” songs he had recorded. It has all the elements of rock, while still keeping its true blues/jazz feel. He is truly an amazing guitarist! Definitely recommend this album, as well as the songs “Born under a bad sign” “catfish blues”, “bleeding heart!1 and “voodoo chile blues”. These songs are straight from the heart!

Sill Life (Talking) : Pat Metheny group

Pat Metheny has an inner understanding of the soul itself through his music. The list of his accomplishments on other albums are astounding. This particular album exemplifies the famous Metheny style with the spirit of life. He’s gathered a great following over the years. I listen to a lot of music and this is one of my favorite CDs. Pat really got hold of something special (a cosmic music vibe!!) in an energetic, creative blending of classic PMG with a heavily Brazilian influence— which was always lurking with tunes like “Song For Bilbao.” Without a doubt, Pat is one of the best composers of our time. He also happens to be one of the best guitarists, also. Live versions of almost all of these tunes are available. Actually, I think “Last Train Home” is one of the weaker tunes (still love it, though). “Minuano” has become a Pat Read more

Wes Montgomery : Smoking At the Half Note (Live)

This is probably THE BEST CD for Jazz Guitarists. WES revolutionized Jazz guitar. And his best works are on this very album.

THIS IS A MUST FOR JAZZ LOVERS AND GUITARISTS!
While a fan for sometime, I have a new appreciation for Wes Montgomery after listening to the NPR “Jazz Profile” segment that lays out his biography and dissects his style. (You can download it for free as a podcast). If you are only familiar with his covers of pop tunes, you need to give this one a listen. Slick with a soul. Read more

guitar album : the best of Santana

I purchased this album after hearing Oye Como Va in a taxi cab: it is my favorite song on the album. Being younger, I did not grow up with any of these songs; however, I was surprised how many of these songs I have actually heard before.

Some of them I would like to mention are Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, She’s Not There, No One to Depend On, and Hold On. There are several songs I had never heard Read more

BreakBeat Jazz Imix

I’m not a turntablist or DJ, but I know some deep grooves and breaks when I hear them. These selections come from a variety of soul-, funk-, latin-, or groove-oriented jazz. Roy Ayers has been sampled endlessly, but I don’t know too many DJs that have used the in-your-face groove attack of guitarist Mel Brown.

BeackBeat Jazz Playlist

I also love the Quincy Jones cut, and every sound off the Jimmy McGriff track is fonknastasty… you gotta get that whole record.
A number of these albums were recorded in the ’90s or later, which makes me believe they’re influenced by hip-hop DJing as well, so it makes for some interesting beats to mix.
